Prerequisites to Assign chart of depreciation to company code
- Define company code
- Define chart of depreciation
- Assign Input tax indicator for non-taxable transaction
The Assignment of Chart of Depreciation to Company Code is an important configuration as it enables a link between the asset accounting and company code in SAP.
Note: – Before assigning chart of depreciation to company, Assign Input tax indicator for non-taxable transactions – T Code OBCL.
How to Assign Chart of Depreciation to Company Code in SAP
You can assign a chart of depreciation to company code in SAP by using the following navigation method
- IMG Menu Path :- SPRO > IMG > Financial accounting > Asset Accounting > Organizational structures > Assign chart of depreciation to company code
- Transaction Code:- OAOB
Step 1:- Enter T Code SPRO in the SAP Command field and press enter
Step 2:- Select SAP Reference IMG
Step 3:- Follow the IMG menu Path and select Assign Chart of Depreciation to Company codes.
Step 4:- Select Position and update your company code
Step 5: On change view “Maintain company code in Asset Accounting screen, assign the chart of depreciation for the particular company code
For company code AD06 update Chart of Depreciation ADAR
Step 5:- Click on the Save option to save the configured data in the sap system
Successfully we assigned a chart of Depreciation to Company Code in SAP.
