How to configure SAP EWM Specific Parameters
After the assignment of SAP S/4Hana warehouse to Embedded Warehouse, the next step is to activate embedded EWM specific settings for the warehouse in SAP S/4Hana.
You can configure SAP EWM specific parameters by using the following configuration steps
Menu Path: Logistics Execution >> Extended Warehouse Management(EWM)) Integration >> Basic Setup of connectivity >> Configure SAP EWM-Specific Parameters.
Step 1: Enter transaction code “SPRO” and enter to continue
Step 2: Click on “SAP Reference IMG”
Step 3: From display IMG Hana screen, navigate to Logistics Execution >> EWM Integration >> Basic Setup of connectivity and execute IMG Activity Configure SAP EWM-Specific Parameters
Step 4: From the change view “Extended Warehouse Management System” overview screen, click on the position button and enter your warehouse number and press enter to continue. Now the required S/4Hana warehouse number displays on the top of the screen.
Step 5: Now update the following details for warehouse no Ad1
- Whn: The Warehouse no Ad1 that act as link between SAP S/4Hana warehouse and Embedded EWM Warehouse.
- Whse No. Description: It will be a description of the warehouse
- Ext. WM: The External Warehouse Management parameter indicates the integration of S/4Hana Warehouse to Local WM or X Decentral WM or E EWM {Extended Warehouse Management}. In this scenario, we want to integrate S/4Hana warehouse to Embedded EWM, so this filed should be set as E EWM {Extended Warehouse Management}.
- Dist. mode: You can choose distribution mode as Distribution immediately at Document Creation or Stop Distribution. In our scenarios, we have updated the field as “Distribution mode as Distribution Immediately. Distribution mode as Distribution Immediately at document refer as – if the transaction of delivery, inbound delivery or any changes done at ERP system, it triggers to EWM system.
- Comm. WM: Communication warehouse management specifies how communication is established between SAP S/4Hana EWM and Embedded EWM Hana. In our scenario, the field should be set as Q Queued and Serialized Asynchronous RFC.
After maintaining the required parameters for EWM, click on the save icon and save the configured details in SAP Hana.
