An Event Reason in SAP SuccessFactors defines why an event has occurred. For example, new hire of an employee is the reason for which a hire event has occurred. Event reason should be selected for every event that has been occurred.
You can number of event reasons in SAP SuccessFactors as per business requirements of an organization.
How to Create Event reason in SAP SuccessFactors
Event reasons can be created in SuccessFactors by using following configuration steps
Step 1: Navigation: Admin Center -> Employee Files -> Manage Organization, Pay and Job Structure
Step 2: From Manage Organization, Pay and Job Structure screen, under create new option, select the option event reason from the dropdown list.
Step 3: On Event Reason new entries, update the following details.
- Event Reason Id: Enter the new event reason id to create in SuccessFactor
- Event Reason Name: Enter the name of event reason
- Description: Enter the descriptive text of event reason
- Status: Choose the status as Active or Inactive.
- Event: Choose the particular event id from the drop down list for which event reason is created, in our we have chosen rehire from the list as we are creating rehire event reason.
- Employee Status: Choose the option from the dropdown list.
- Follow-up-activity in Position: Choose the appropriate option from the list
- Payroll Event: Update the payroll event details. This option is used for integration of SuccessFactors or ERP payroll systems.
- Display in Internal job history portlet – Choose the option Yes or No from the dropdown list.
After entering all the required details, click on save option to save the event reason in SuccessFactors.
Successfully we have created even reason record in SAP SuccessFactors.
Step 4: From Event Reason – History option, You can choose take action for
- Make Corrections – By choose the make corrections, you can modify the event reason details. After modify the information, click on save option and save the details.
- Permanently delete record – With permanently delete record, you can delete the created event record in SuccessFactors.
Successfully event reason has been created in SAP SuccessFactors and available to use in system.
