Location group in SAP SuccessFactors refer to customers from multiple locations group together in to location group. So location groups are used to generate the reports of EEO ( Equality Employment Opportunity). For example, a location group called United States, that group together all specific locations within United States.
How to Create Location Group in SAP SuccessFactors
You can create location groups in SAP SuccessFactors by using the following configuration steps
Step 1: Navigate: Admin Center -> EMP Files -> Manage Organization, Pay and Job Structure
Step 2 To create new location group in SAP SuccessFactors, choose the drop down list from create new and select the option Location Group.
From Organization, Pay and Job Structures screen, you can view the existing location groups by choosing the location group from search.
Step 3: From Create SuccessFactors Location Group screen, update the following details
- Effective as of Choose the effective start date of the location group
- Name: Enter the Name of Location Group: In our, we case we have entered SWA_US
- Description: Enter the descriptive text of the location group,
- Status: Choose the option as Active to activate the location group in SuccessFactors.
After entering all the required details for the location group, click on the save option to save the created location group in SAP SuccessFactors.
How to display Location Group in SAP SuccessFactors
Now we have created SWA_US – Southwestern US location group. Let’s check how to display the Southwestern US (SWA_US) location, group
To display the newly created location group in SAP SuccessFactors, choose the option search: Location group and select the location group from the drop-down list to display on the screen.
Now the Southwestern US (SWA_US) displays on the screen as shown below image.
- To modify the location group, click on Take Action, choose the option Make Corrections and update the required details.
- To delete the Location group, click on the option permanent delete record to delete the location group in SAP SuccessFactors.
