A planner group in SAP is defined at the plant level. A planner group is referred to as a group of people who are responsible for the maintenance of inspection plans. You can use a planner group as a selection criterion for task list selection.
How to define planner group in SAP Hana QM
You can define a planner group in SAP Quality Management by using the following navigation method

Transaction Code | SPRO |
Step 1: Enter transaction code “SPRO” and click on “SAP Reference IMG”
Step 2: On the display IMG screen, follow the IMG menu path Quality Management – Quality Planning – Inspection Planning – General and execute “Define Planner Group”
Step 3: On the change view “Maintenance planner group” overview screen, it displays a list of planner groups that are defined in the SAP Hana system.
Click on the new entries button to define planner group at the plant level in the SAP Hana system.
Step 4: On new entries of the planner group screen, update the following details
- Plant: Update a plant key for the maintenance of the planner group
- Planner Group: Update a planner group that is responsible for maintaining a task list
- Planner Group Description: Update a short text that describes the planner group in the SAP Hana system.
After maintaining the required details for the planner group, click on the Save button and save the details.
Successfully we have defined planner groups for plant AP01 in SAP Hana System.
