Important list of General Ledger (G/L) accounts tables that every FI & end user should know when working on general ledger accounting.
The General Ledger in SAP is the main ledger of the SAP FICO module. It stores the master data of G/L accounts that are used to record financial transactions and generate financial reports.
General Ledger (G/L) accounts Tables in SAP
The General Ledger accounts are stored in different SAP tables based on their master data, configuration data, transactions, and balances.

The Tables BSIS, BSID, BSAS, BSIK, and BSAK are secondary index tables, and these tables are removed in SAP S/4HANA.
G/L Accounts Balances and Total Tables

GL Account tables changes: S4 Hana & ECC
In S/4HANA, the GL account data is stored in different tables due to the integration of financial accounting and control as a single component. Now the data is stored in a single table called ACDOCA universal journal ledger table.
