How to Maintain Parameters for Task List Type in SAP
In this SAP S4 Hana QM configuration step, you assign number ranges to task list types. Also, you can activate the creation of change document options for each task list type.
You can maintain parameters for the task list type in SAP by using the following navigation method.

Step 1: Enter transaction code “SPRO,” and in the next screen, choose “SAP Reference IMG”
Step 2: On the display IMG screen, follow the IMG menu path Quality Management – Quality Planning – Inspection Planning – General and execute “Maintain Parameters for Task List Type”
Step 3: On determining the work area: Entry, update the Task List Type key, and press the enter key to continue.
Step 4: On the change view “General Control Data” overview screen, update the following details
- NoRange i: – Enter the number range number for internal number assignment that identifies the number range used if the number of the routing/plan is assigned to the system,
- NoRange e: Enter the number range number for external number assignment
- Document: Select the indicator for the creation of change documents to activate for field within task lists.
Click on the Save button and save the details of the task list type parameters in the SAP Hana system.
